the 4.5" shakie worm is probly one of my favorite winter baits right now i fish it on a shakie head and green pumpkin is my go 2 color right now i am fishing this bait super slow in 10 to 12 feet of water sometime juss "tight lineing" the bait juss holding the line tight enough to feeel the bait but not so much to move it and ill juss pick the rod tip up and then take up the slack and repeat till im out of line you just have to remember to fish super slow during the winter especially like now when the water temps here in alabama are in the 40's

heres a shakie worm fish i caught on christmas eve eve 5 pounds and 1 ounce

Great fish Justin! I fish my 4.5 shakie worm almost the exact same way during the winter! I use mine on a 1/4oz jig head and usually Black or Watermellon Candy color.  Heres A fish I caught on a 4.. Funny story about this fish, I missed him earlier on a black 4.5in worm and come back a few minutes later and caught him and he had my other worm down in his mouth! It was the 1st time anything like that had ever happened to me.

Been catching alot of  fish in So. Illinois lately using the 4.5 shakie worm on the Ledge Doctor. "The Ledge Doctor"  is made by www.ltbwarehouse.com  This combo comes through the grass very well and stands up great. You need to try this setup if you want to Load The Boat. Pick up some jigs and shakie worms and head to your favorite lake and give it a try.
